A bunch of people will be coming down I-89 and it turns out that the Concord route and the Manchester route are of almost equal lengths, Considering the timing of arriving at either these cities, about 0815-0830 does anyone with local knowledge have an opinion or even factual reason to go one way as opposed to another?

Fastest way is to take I-93 south from Concord towards Manchester. Just after the toll plaza keep to the right and get on I-93 South. DON'T GET ON I-293!!! Take 93 to Exit 7 and follow the directions on this page from there to Deerfield.

Mike,
I trust your advice is taking "rush hour" traffic into consideration?
I sure would hate to miss the pre-paid opening line.

Traffic should not be too much of an issue, everyone is headed into Manchester and Concord at that time. When I work overnights and come home at that time I feel like I am the only one headed east (from Concord)

Traffic will not be an issue. I take that route every morning - 89 to 93 to 101 and no problem with traffic unless there is an accident. It will be busy, but traffic normally flows 70 - 75 mph. Also to note that the exit from Route 93 south to Route 101 east is a left hand exit.

I prefer the Rte 4 east from Concord approach, but it also has issues of traffic to contend with. Whatever you're most comfortable with is probably the best bet. Beware of rolling toll booths along I-89 and 93.
