Today is D-Day (DeerfieldDay) Minus One.  We are heading up later this morning and take possession of the sacred grounds once again at noon.  My team and I will be working hard until late in the evening to mske sure that everything is in readiness for tomorrow, Friday May 2nd at 9AM SHARP.  That's when the gates open and NEAR-Fest XV will officially begin.

Although the weather kinda sucks and it's raining on and off down here in Massachusetts today the forecasts are for great wx tomorrow and Saturday. Regardless, even if the weather is lousy tomorrow just get in your cah and drive up to Deerfield anyways.  Sometimes the weather systems are different and it can be pouring in Boston and sunny in Deerfield.  It has happened.

This NEAR-Fest is being dedicated to the memory of Mike Bernock, N1IW, who passed away in February at the young age of 55.  The staff and many of the folks you will see walking wround will be wearing a button with Mike's picture.  N1IW truly loved NEAR-Fest and was always there, strumming his guitar at the BARS tent until the wee hours of the morning.

This one's for you, Mike.
