Some Interesting Motorola MotoTRBO DMR Statistics
« on: January 08, 2015, 10:06:19 AM »
Here are some statistics that illustrate how much the Motorola MotoTRBO DMR repeater network has grown in New England in 2014:

In January 2012 there were only two DMR repeaters in New England, Southboro MA and Hudson NH.

By January 2014 there were 6 DMR repeaters in New England.
ME  1 Shapleigh
NH  4 Hudson VHF and UHF, Derry and Bow.
MA  1 Southboro

As of January 1st, 2015, there are 47 DMR Repeaters networked in New England
ME     2
NH   10
MA     8
CT    27
RI
VT

In the past 12 month there was an increase of 41 new repeaters.

ME    1    Falmouth
NH    6    Chester, Sanbornton, Gilford, Manchester, Madbury and Mount
             Washington.
MA    7    Marblehead, Malden, Chelmsford, Eastham, Walpole, Northhampton VHF and UHF
CT   27    Too many to list.  Incredible growth mainly due to CT State Police
setting up a network of ARES repeaters.

What can we expect to see in 2015?
Boston, MA (UHF)
Providence, RI
New Bedford, MA
Windsor, VT
Hudson, NH 147.105, +.6, CC0, Repeater Research (Mixed Mode, NNE, TS2)

And possibly a lot more....

Here are some DMR Worldwide Stats

Some worldwide stats:

As of December 17th, 2013 there were
443 Repeaters Registered
4444 User IDs Registered

as of December 26th 2014 there are

1,000+ Registered Repeaters
12,000+ Registered IDs now (9,003 Registered Users)

The number of "Networked Repeaters" shown on the DMR-MARC.net Home page represents the DMR-MARC networked repeaters around 400+.  Of course, there are many more networks like DCI, Hytera and Regional networks like North Carolina and Lonestar that may not be in these totals.

Thanks to Bill, NE1B for this information.

As of January 1st, 2016, there are the following repeaters on the air:

Maine                 11 (9 added)
New Hampshire.  20 (10 added)
Vermont               4 (4 added)
Massachusetts     22 (14 added)
Connecticut         50 (23 added)
Rhode Island        0 (none added)
Upstate New York  4 (4 added)
New Brunswick     3 (none added)
Quebec                3 (none added)

Total = 117 repeaters

http://www.dmr-marc.net/repeaters.html

In 2016 we hope to add at least 2 more in Maine (Streaked and Lincoln),  2 more in NH, 2 more in VT and 1 in RI.  There are two repeaters in Canada, one in Montreal and the other in Cornwall Ontario that carry the Region North talk group.

World Wide Statistics at the end of 2015:

1946 Repeaters Registered
32,000+ Registered User IDs (25,565 Users)

It will be interesting to look at the 2016 growth statistics in about nine months.
