Hi all! I'm working on something for an electronic set! I'll keep you posted! I'm going to look at one monday night! Also, should I bring the 4 channel mixer head for PA usage? Can someone bring some PA speakers? Anyone who plans to do vox should bring a mic,cable(1/4 or XLR) and a stand!

If I don't sell them first, I've got 2 Roland KC-100 keyboard amps that I can bring.
Each one has 4 inputs

Hi All,
I'm also a bass player, been playing since I was a kid, play both upright and electric, know almost all the songs you listed. I could share time with the other bass player who responded earlier. We'll need a drummer though, is crucial to most of those tunes. Got good equipment (old all tube 300 watt Ampeg SVT's) but no reason for two amps to be there. What time does the jam start? Friday or Saturday? Oh I played the washtub bass last fall for about a half an hour until a combination of my wife and my hands falling off from the cold drove me away. I play bass with a neck MUCH better than a washtub which amazedly enough I was actually starting to get some correct notes from near the end. I'll bring my hands, don't know about my wife, haha! I played with the blue grass guys who were pretty good last year I though, I can play just about any music though, love the old Stones etc.

That's great Bob,
I remember you from last year. In fact you inspired me to take a washtub someone left behind at work to make into a bass. I think it'll be a big hit with some guys I play with.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing with you all.

Well looks like it's all coming together.  I was thinking of bringing an old Yamaha DD-6 drum machine and was gonna MIDI that up to my keyboard (for better sounds duh!!!)  but now that we have an electronic kit I guess I'll leave it at home ha ha.  See you all on the stage on Friday night!! :)

I guess Rick and I can trade off on drums and keyboards  if we want......since he's got a drum kit and and I have a keyboard rig and we both play both.....plus if he wants to wail on his guitar I don't mind jumping on the drums for a song or 2 or whatever!!!  (sorry Rick I don't know crap about guitar other than tuning one!) :) ;D

So it's Friday night? What time are you planning on starting? I'm supposed to work Saturday but will try to get the day off.

I figure we start the jam between 8:30 and 9pm Friday night.

Players: please remember to bring amps, mics, stands, cables, etc.

I'll be bringing 2 Roland KC-100 keyboard/vocal/mixer amps. These are not for guitar or drums so if someone could bring an amp/speaker combo that will fit the occasion that would be great. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Brian

Gentlemen,

I am pleased to see that Brian and everyone has really gotten the band together and going!  This is totally awesome.  The Pirate Ship 95.1FM will be proud to carry this prestigious event live.  I think all is complete and we even have a linkup operator!

Hopefully, all these electronic/miked instruments can be fed into the final linkup mix and sent over the FM stations.

Brian, let me know if you have any questions about the linkup or if you need any other technical information for interfacing with the link.

Can't wait to showcase this.

Brian, 95.1FM will be carrying a very special remote live feed (of interest to the AM'ers from WBCQ Radio Live) from 8PM to 9PM.  At 9PM, we will bring up the Jam link and begin airing the Jam live.

Now I just gotta check our program schedule to make sure all the updates are there.

See you all at the fest!

Question?????????????????????????
If this sounds stupid, I.m sorry.
But...R U guys going to jam  on stage at the Relaxation grove (weather permitting)?
Just my thoughts.......
I think that if the weather permits, the stage @ Relaxation Grove is the best place to play.
It worked our great in May 2007.
Open Air..Great Tunes!!!!!

This year I am going to go to the "Jam".  Last fall I said I was going but ended up leaving around 3 on Friday and not getting back home until 7 that night.  This year I'm staying over and will be there to support, take video, and possibly join in.  I play keyboards.  Like I said last Jam II, let me write down the chords and I can pretty much play anything although some of the song titles that were listed are a little strange to me.  I've not played in a band for about 15 years now but it's like riding a bike, you never forget.  It sound like a whole lot of fun anyway you look at it.
See you there.

Sorry, that stage is not available for the jam.  That is instead reserved for the Drawing barrel and our FM station is (and has been located up there).  There is not enough room for a band and the current setup.  I believe the Jam is to be held on the stage in the Entertainment Building.  See Mike's Map for further clarification: http://near-fest.com/index.php?topic=307.0
