I would like to notify everyone out there that I will be covering NEAR-fest III for Amateur Logic TV.  Don KB1LXH and myself Greg W1VFB will be attending and searching the fairgrounds for unique and interesting topics for use on one of Amateur Logic TV upcoming webcasts.  Unfortunately, with two days of the fest there is a lot to cover and report but George W5JDX, the producer of the program has told me to keep my coverage to about 10 or 15 minutes.  With all that goes on at NEAR-fest I'm going to be hard pressed to keep to that time limit.  I will be sending the guys all the video that I shoot and they will edit out what they feel is the most interesting.  My goal is to give them so much interesting material that they will have to show all of it.

Don and I will be roaming the grounds and picking people, places, and things AT RANDOM!  Please don't take offense if we don't video tape you.  But if we do, we need you to give brief answers to our questions and to keep explanations as short as possible.  That way we can give the show more things to look at and pick to show.  If I can get my computer to cooperate, some time this early summer I will post all of my video in the form of a short program on YouTube or some similar site.  I'll post here when and if I do.

Don and I look forward to meeting as many hams as possible.  I'll be taping the land rush at 9 am on Friday so keep it safe and give me a lot to tape.

TWO DAYS AND COUNTING.  SEE YOU THEN.

Fantastic, Greg!

I encourage you to pop in for both of the big forums in the entertainment/soundstage building Friday at 5PM and Saturday at 11. Maybe grab a few minutes of interesting content, pan around the crowd, etc. This would go a long way to encouraging folks to take the plunge in providing a forum for the attendees of NEAR-Fest.

Also - please consider giving a presentation yourself on this specialty in one of the upcoming events, short or long, to show folks what you do, why, and where they can find the webcasts.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
