We have a change in leadership to announce. Al Shuman, K1AKS, having again assumed the duties as the ARRL New Hampshire Section Manager has announced he has to step down as NEAR-Fest's Director for Commercial Exhibits. Al feels that he would not be able to do justice to both posts.
On behalf of the NEAR-Fest Team, I thank Al for his service. The Commercial Exhibits are a very important aspect of NEAR-Fest and his hard work and dedication will always be remembered and appreciated. The League's gain is our loss.
Fortunately Al's duties will be assumed by John Goran, K1JJS, our new Director of Commercial Exhibits. John is taking over the very important responsibility of managing the commercial buildings and the exhibitors and vendors who inhabit them. We welcome John to the NEAR-Fest "team" and know that he will do an outstanding job. We'd also like to welcome Ken Rust, KB1PRV who will be working with John towards this end.
