Topic: Modifying Profile Info

Mr. Mike or someone who has the info.
       The info in my profile about my class of license is incorrect. It states I have a technician class when in fact I have had an Canadian Advanced (Equivalent to Extra Class) license for over 45 years. I have tried to find where I can change that info but have not been able to. I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction or change it for me.

Your profile status is related to your status on this forum board NOT to your amateur license.  The more you post to the board the higher your staus will go.  In the real world, I'm only a Technician here in the States.  On this board, I'm advanced.
I wanted to change mine also but realized what was going on as I am on several other forum boards that are similar to the format of this one and found how to change my profile status by posting to the forum more.  I hope this helps answer your question.

Hi try this:
Sign in
then go to the tab: "Modify profile"
scroll down to: "Forum Profile Information"
Then under "personal text" change it to what you want!
I hope to change mine to Extra on Oct 17th!

      I did as you suggested but alas it did not work. The Personal Text window did not allow me to change my license status info. I tried but it did not work. I will keep trying. I know what class of license I have so I guess today it does not matter...

I have to say again that the status that is below your name on the left side of a post is relative to the amount of posts that make.  The more you make the higher your level will be.  My FCC ticket is only for Technician were as here on the forums I'm Advanced.  Post more and post often and your status will go up!!!

When I first joined this forum I was confused by the same thing.
The more I posted (which isn't much) the higher the class.

Different forums have different classes of contributors. Some are
plain & some are fancy depending on how the sites are written.

So contribute well and meaningfully. Your contributor rating will advance.
