X jam question
« on: September 19, 2011, 12:36:34 PM »
Hi All:

I have a fellow Amateur that would like to know if the X jam sessions are just electric and rock and roll or is acoustic guitar and other music genres (blue grass) played during the jam.  He thinks that he would like to participate but would like to know more before he make the ride down to Deerfield.

I suggest you have your friend read all the past jam forums.

To be honest it is mostly rock, but we welcome any kind of music.
Variety is the spice of life.

Hey Bri,

I finally got registered on the forum here.... (Thanks Mister Mike!)

Kinda putting a CQ to acoustic types to see if there are any players with interest in blues / fingerstyle (Jorma, Kottke etc.) / or blue/newgrass genres.

Hey  Mike,
Well.. You can see by the lack of response what your answer "could be".
Don't take the lack of feedback personally. I personally love Kottke and Fingerstyle and if you'd be so kind as to show me a thing or two I would be most grateful.
Please come and play. You never know who will show and help "make the jam".
Look me up early at the fest.
I'll be camping next to the entertainment building.

Hey Bri,

Thanks for the reply. No issues here, but for other reasons I am going to skip this fall NEARfest, maybe get down there for the next one in the spring.
