Sorry to hear that Bri; we will do our best to pull it together!  As far as a stream goes; the best I can promise is a recording because I'm not sure we're even going to have Internet access this time around seeing as how John won't be here either.  He's the one who provides our 'gateway' through his cellular data plan.

I thank you all for your well wishes.

Now; I expect this jam to be epic!
A recording would be great
I hope you will play John Derrico's request of Spinal Tap's "Big Bottom"

Play on. Play on.

Switching gears a bit, anyone have an extra keyboard stand they can bring?  Part of my journey to this Fest involves some train travel so I am limited to what I can carry.  I WILL have a keyboard though!

Thanks!
Adam

Brian - we will be thinking of you and yours. Bummed you won't be there, but family first always.

Adam - train time, lucky!

See y'all in a few days. I'll bring munchies again if I can swing it. I'll know better tomorrow.

Ok Everyone!
It's getting down to the wire now!
We've been thrown a curve ball or two but,
"The show Must Go On!"

Ben and the Family have got the PA Covered! (Very Much Appeciated!)
I've got the electronic drum kit! (All Drummers are welcome to play it!)
My Guitar Rig, Mic, stand, lyrics & Tabs!

Please remember to bring along a Mic, Mic Cord & Stand if your singing and playing, & any Tabs and/or Lyrics
If you have any questions please post them. Or if you rather contact me directly e-mail me at RickXAllen@Yahoo.com

Also Please consider volunteering 1 hour of your time to help out The Near-Fest!
Mr. Mike (&The Team!) Needs You!
They are in need of many volunteers to give only 1 hour of their time! You will be working along with another volunteer so no one has to go it alone.
E-mail me at RickXAllen@Yahoo.com

Thank You!

Hi all!
Ok so it's 2:53am Sunday
Wow! Another awesome Near-Fest! And "Ham Jam!"

Thank you all...! Bri u'd be proud! Everyone was helping everyone(without being asked,) Ben!, I dont know how to thank you enough, if you don't know Ben, & his family, your missing out! Some of the niceeeest (sorry RI Accxccent right Paulie?) people at the Near-Fest! They bring an entire PA system just for the "Ham Jam!" ok, some of them might be a little clumsy tho,, LOL! Thank you!

Ok, It was kinda like organized mayhem! What fun! Ok, maybe we could have used a good drummer or two (Joe!) but we made it thru!!!
The regular cast of characters were there! Some new faces in the crowd too tho! Pack up & cleanup was about the smoothest I've ever seen! Just a great job by all! We even got to do an old favorite "piss weak mobile blues!"  gotta love it!
Just another great jam! Missing some of our regular players but as our friend Cliffy said "family!"

Seriously, tho Thank you all...

Adam & Adam side by side on their keyboards,Raj on his guitar, kicking some vox! Scott on bass, doing his vox,  Nolan singing and cranking guitar!!!, John n' John were cranking! Mayhem!! Oh yea and the new fav "Big Bottom by Spinal Tap"  Unreal! Ok if I forgot anyone it's cuz it now 3:31am RI time!

On a more personal note, it was my dad's (Dave)KA1UKB 1000th Fest! And he still brings me along! I'd  also like to mention this was my good friend kevin's first Near-Fest! And also my daughter Marissa's first Near-Fest! They both had a great time! Also the the guy who made it a point to come say he enjoyed the jam and "I made him smile", thank you for the compliments it does mean alot!

Ok, gonna go sleep for a few! Hope to see you all again in the fall.

Have a great summer everyone!

Rick,
KA1VNJ

Thanks again to all the musicians that came in to entertain me while I listened to the headphones!!  It's awfully nice of you to do all that just for me!  ;)

I missed some of our usual crowd, but it still went off quite well. We even managed to get it live on the air for the everyone on the grounds to enjoy (is that the right term??) There were a few times I almost volunteered to try to be a drummer, but that would NOT have been good!

Thanks to everyone who participated and helped me unpack and pack up, and especially to Rick for taking the helm, and to Ross, Tom and Jen for helping me navigate the chaos of the CAT5 cable. I don't even think we successfully tripped anyone.

Looking forward to the fall so we can do it all again, and hope to see more of the regulars and new faces then.

-Ben
