Once again I have been able to negotiate a great room rate about 15 miles from the Fairgrounds for those of you looking for overnight accommodations.  It's at the Super 8 Motel, 2301 Brown Avenue, Manchester NH (603) 623-0883.

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=2301+Brown+Ave,+Manchester,+NH+03103,+USA&sa=X&oi=map&ct=image

Here's the deal:

A block of  rooms is being "tentatively held" for NEAR-Fest attendees.  You must book your own reservation and confirm it with a credit card before April 28th 2008; the earlier the better.  The hotel has stipulated that each person must make their own reservation which means that you cannot make a reservation for anyone else unless you are willing to pay for their rioom.  Finally. you must mention NEAR-Fest or you won't get the deal.

If the person on the desk doesn't know what the heck you are talking about ask for Kathleen - she's the Manager!  It's right near the airport off I-293.  Google it for a map.

Price is $56.00 plus taxes for a total of $60.48.  This special rate is valid Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.  Amenities include:

6am-10am continental breakfast

High-speed wireless internet

24 hour wake-up service

Cable t.v. includes HBO and HBO2

Complementary USA Today

Book early, especially if you want a smoking room.

See what NEAR-Fest does for ya!

That's a great deal Mr. Mike!  The hotel is fairly new, too.  And if you are looking for really good food, including breakfast, check out the Airport Diner at the Holiday Inn across the street.

You're right, OBJ!  My friends ate there several times in May and they loved it.
