Jam info and a call for new blood
« on: October 11, 2017, 08:45:08 AM »
Hey NEAR-Festers,
It's great to know the usual gang of players will be there for the fest and jam!
The weather looks great. Not to cold and no liquid sunshine is in the forecast.

The PA load-in to the Entertainment building will be at 7pm.
If we all show up to help it should take about 15-20 minutes to bring all the PA gear Ben needs to set up.
After the PA?s set we can start setting up our equipment.

Please remember to bring extra: Talent; For Gods sake someone bring some, cause I'm all out. Batteries, mic/instrument cables, strings, picks, sheet music you want others to play, music/instrument, mic stands, power strips, music stands and anything else you think you might need

I love playing with everyone but I do hope we get some new players and singers too.
We need to carry on this tradition and pass it on to the next generation.
Lets appease the Near-Fest gods by supplying new blood. Attendees and players alike.

If you know someone with an interest in any of the following then bring them to Near-Fest!!
Radios, Electronics, Maker Fair, Digital printing, Audio, Welding-brazing, Antique radio, Woodworking, Hunting, Lasers, Airplanes, Vintage audio gear, Test equipment, Chemistry, Ham gear, Robots, Radio controlled (heli, plane, boat, car), Optics, Lab equipment, System control, NASA, Electric vehicles,  Solar power, Technology in medicine, Fabrication, Media installation, Vintage computers, Audio and video recording, Automotive electronics, Physics, Vinyl records??

Look I could sit here all day to add to this list and it wouldn?t be complete. That?s because we?re a very diverse group with an insanely wide craving for technology.
At Near-Fest you?ll meet some of the most interesting people in the world; All with some common interest. I?ve had conversations with hackers, surgeons, poets, college professors, pilots, military personnel, musicians and expert trades people from all walks of life. Often the knowledge spills over to another subject and now your interested in yet another subset you didn?t know you wanted to gain knowledge in.

All I?m saying is try to coax a friend or a family member to come join us. The more people we bring the better it gets.

Hope to see you at the Fest,

Bri
The only thing to fear is fear itself.....and crazy bat-shit people. We should really fear crazy bat-shit people.
