Forum site back to normal I think
« on: October 22, 2021, 08:02:32 PM »
All,

The curves with this NEAR-Fest forum site have been straightened out I believe. Unbeknownst to me my host moved my account that this web site is under to a new server, and not everything transferred cleanly. So MOST things are back to normal. The software is completely up to date and the server appears to be faster, all positives.

If you discover something not behaving correctly please let me know.

I think since the transfer process a couple of posts were lost because they weren't going to the right place, so if you had posted something after the 14th you can have have a second chance to post it like you mean it.

Thanks.

Ben

Things aren't entirely back to normal. Nobody's avatars are showing up in posts; if I try to re-upload mine, I get the following error:

"The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved."

Guessing it's a permissions issue somewhere, but I'm not an expert on this sort of thing.

Adam,

I have that issue on my list. I'll get to it soon, maybe as soon as this weekend. There are other things not working right in the backend, so I'll need to spend some quality time with this site (as well as others on this hosting account).

If you find anything else for my list please send it along!
