Two things Raven and I look forward to each year are the Sping and Fall gatherings with our friends at NEAR-fest.
We camp out in the "south forty" Thursday night, line up early on Friday and quickly make our way to our favorite motor home parking spot at the end of the Oxen barn, just beyond the yay-em corral. By mid-day the smell of Raven's fresh baked cookies in the motor home's oven has attracted the usual cast of hungry characters and after a chewy feast of chocolate chip yummies we're ready to make the rounds to taunt the folks we only see 2 or 3 times a year. For us, NEAR-fest is a social event that just happens to afford the opportunity to buy and/or sell some toys in the company of some wonderful folks.
It pains us to say that another engagement will prevent us from joining the fun this weekend, so we wanted to post a quick note to create some level of participation in NEAR-fest IX. Here's to sunny skies and great deals! We'll see you in the fall
